    Reinstate a closed 501(c)(3)

Does anyone know if the IRS would reinstate a very small non-profit that regrets they closed it down? They were going to provide short term housing for the homeless. The project fell through so they closed out the NFP with the IRS and NJ and now are going to resurrect it. They are hoping to avoid going through the application process again. Thanks for any comments.

In order for the IRS to shut down (revoke the exemption) a 501(c)(3) - it most likely didn't file its 990 form for 3 consecutive years.
What's needed is to REAPPLY by filing the 1023 or 1023-EZ, marking REAPPLICATION fee on top of the first page, and pay the applicable
application fee (Form 8718). Follow the instructions for the reapplication.
