    Of course I have a W-4. And I have interpreted the numbers in the same way you have. As I see it, if the spouse doesn't work, there is no effect to choosing marital status. I believe from reading, that the limit on the FIT deduction is the same as a single person.

    It just doesn't work. Let it go. Thanks.
