I have a client who's husband (resident alienof the US) went to Mexico at the end of 2006, tried to come back to the United States in January of 2007, and was not granted back in due to some paperwork problems. Can I still file MFJ? Is there anything to worry about regarding the husband's SS#, like is it legal? How do I check legality if that is a concern of mine?
