    Update on stimulus efile

I just received this from the IRS Quick alerts. Hope it helps someone.

ATTN: Software Developers, Return Transmitters and Authorized IRS e-file
    Providers/EROs

To avoid Error Reject Code 0134, on an Economic Stimulus Payment return, the
Standard Deduction amount must be included in the appropriate field (SEQ
0789). If there are other required fields that will cause the return to
reject if not provided, please provide data for those fields. The return
will not reject if additional fields are submitted on an electronic Economic
Stimulus Payment return. However, Error Reject Code 0250 will reject an
Economic Stimulus Payment return if the return includes Taxable Income (SEQ
0820) or Total Tax (SEQ 1150).

    Error Reject Code 0250 states:
Forms 1040/1040A - Economic Stimulus Payment return cannot have Taxable
Income (SEQ 0820) or Total Tax (SEQ 1150). A non-Stimulus tax return should
    be filed.

Additionally, when one dollar interest is used on an Economic Stimulus
Payment return, please ensure that it is carried down to the Total Income
(SEQ 0600) and Adjusted Gross Income (SEQ 0750) lines.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".
