I have a client that owns a trailer home. She has filed for the Star Real Estate program and it will start next December. The land that it is on is not owned by her, it is in a trailer park.
My question is since she qualifies for real estate tax reduction is any portion of her monthly payments deductible?
I would say no, but she will get a reduction in her monthly payment to the trailer park because of her live-in trailer. In other words, the owner of the trailer park get the tax reduction and passes it on to the trailer owner. Does this sound right?
