In the interest of continuing this thread, as most were doing at the time, I posted an off topic story. At the time I was unsure to post it or not but decided to do it anyway to enhance the "record" thread. I fully appoligise to all as it was not intended to offend anyone, and I seen worse on this board.

I have never posted such an off topic/ off color story before and will never do it again. As to the negative reply, well I should of expected it. Those that had nice comments about me, thank you, I had no idea that I was that well thought of. WOW..........

This thread should now be done//////////////////////////////////////

Yup, that's what happened all right.

Your personna on this board is unparalleled...your...thread, a year or so ago, one of the finest and most convincing writing I've ever seen...
Would you mind repeating this a couple of dozen times?

...slash-and-burn becomes necessary...monitors try to stop the madness before it gets out-of-hand... I'm sure the monitors would rather not spend their time pondering whether someone's post needs deleting.
Oh, I know it, I know it; but a good post is art, you see. And sure, that book-burnin' Yank had to do it in the interest of justice, but he coulda gimme a cigarette and a blindfold first.

...this extra droning on about this situation has gone on long enough and it's time to move on instead of continuing to draw attention to it..
Well, nobody can argue with that. This is my last salvo on this thread. Sorry, Paul -- I take back the part about RALs.

    P.S. -- Paul: the duel's off.
P.S. -- Frog: a reputation is valuable and requires defense -- even if the context upsets others.

    That's What Happens

That's what happens when one of our most well-respected members suddenly gets a little off-color and another member responds by wanting to send him to the electric chair, then an exchange starts in the early hours of the morning before the moderators woke up. The moderator quickly deleted the whole thing before most folks had the opportunity to see it Wednesday morning. In the midst of that thread, I popped off at one of the guys and my post was deleted too. Bottom line and simply put, the whole thread had to go.

The parties wouldn't let it die, so the mud starts flying again in another thread, so here comes the "slash-and-burn" again. I didn't have the chance to read your post, wish I had. So I have no idea why it was deleted. Could have been that it was a casualty of being in cyber-sequence such that no way to delete theirs without affecting yours, sorta a cyber version of collateral damage. If the subject matter pertained to the toilet squabble, then there would been no justifiable way to addres without removing everything related. I seriously doubt any moderator was coming after your post per se, and almost virtually certain that none of them would want to alienate Black Bart.

Your personna on this board is unparalleled. When you re-joined us recently, you returned to a hero's welcome. Many of us remember your "In defense of RALs" thread, a year or so ago, one of the finest and most convincing writing I've ever seen. I have been one of the most ardent readers of your comments and obviously also one of the most fervent supporters of TTB and this board. I can't imagine either monitor wanting to silence your post -- and would hope that it was an accident, cyber-necessary, or subject matter collateral damage to an otherwise innocuous post.

But consider what has arisen from what Bob W started rather innocently. Another member starts yelling "Tastes Great" and the other shouts back "Less Filling." Other members start taking sides, so the slash-and-burn becomes necessary. The "Tastes Great" resurfaces, and now other grizzled veteran members are sucked in. Both monitors try to stop the madness before it gets out-of-hand. I'm sure the monitors would rather not spend their time pondering whether someone's post needs deleting.

They might even delete my post in the morning -- not because they disagree, but because this extra droning on about this situation has gone on long enough and it's time to move on instead of continuing to draw attention to it. If so, it would be with good reason. Had anyone been offended other than you, I wouldn't have honored this "Tastes Great" fiasco with another word.

I'm trying -- I'm trying. But it's hard to do when you've killed off my post which so tastefully exonerated my client (uh, I mean my colleague). I acknowledge the need to squelch squabbles, but that post was completely innocent and did not deserve to die and be sent to techno-oblivion.

I'm afraid I have no recourse but to denounce you as a dirty, rotten, low-down, inexcrupulous rat (who probably does RALs) and demand satisfaction -- choose your seconds. Further, you''ll hear from my CPA about this.

    Pay the IRS

You seem to be very concerned about penalties and interest for 2006 and who should pay, but very unconcerned about the penalties and interest accruing on your husband's back taxes for which you know who must pay. Why doesn't he pay his back taxes, penalties, and interest before he goes on any more vacations? He can set up an installment plan; you can file the injured/innocent spouse form. I'd also suggest you consider using the same CPA that prepares the S-Corp tax return to prepare your personal tax return(s), because he/she would be more likely to have a feel for the amount of income and/or expenses passing through to your husband relative to prior years. And, please consider MFJ. In fact, you can amend 2006 to MFJ. If you want to help your husband get organized for the future, remind him of each estimated tax payment date as it approaches.

    To set a new record

I will add my 1/2 cents worth.
Believe this thread has gone about as far as it can go, unless someone can
shed some new light on the original post.
And as much light has been shed, don't know if there is any left.

The original post was not meant to offend. Bob is not like that. Like you mentioned, maybe the wording was a little off, but all of us have certainly seen much worse than that! Also, I enjoy reading the advice from Uncle Sam. So, maybe a fresh start?

Again, like you, I been wondering where Breckgirl went???

Maybe she found out 'her CPA' was not a CPA?

I want to be part of the longest thread. I hope Breckgirl5 gets all her tax problems straightened out. She sounds like a very nice person and trying to do her best in the situation.

If so, I'd like to get in on it.
