I received an article today that related to our conversation the other week on online backups.
After reading this, I found out that while MozyPro contains most of the features that Abacus does there are two deal breakers (for me):
1. MP will only store file versions up to 30 days. That means, if I get a corrupted file on a file I haven't used in a while only one will be in 'storage'. Abacus, on the other hand can store file versions for up to 20 years.
2. MP also currently does not use file compression. I am told they are adding as a feature in the future. That would explain the length of time (19 hours!) it took for MAMalody to upload his first 3.5G. At that rate, It would take me over a week for the first backup.
Abacus however is more expensive than MozyPro.
