Patio door for energy credit

They are kind of a hybrid between window and door. One side opens to walk through, the other side is stationary but glass. I've always classified whichever benefits client most, be it window or door. Does anything say the cost can't be split to qualify as both window and door?

I'm not aware of any guidance, but even though it may SEEM like two items, it really is only ONE item. I don't see how you can split it for one item.

The name says it all "Patio Door". In my opinion it is an exterior door, and must meet ENERGY STAR certified to qualify for the 25C Federal Tax Credit.
