IRS EA logo...are we allowed to use this?

Let them wonder.

It's a tempting idea to use it since the logo is a symbol of authority which commands respect and, hopefully, some for you by association. On the other hand, would it make some clients whose deductions are less than rock solid (say about 1/5) wonder if we are working for him or them?

A little wondering may be good for their souls. I tell people who want me to push the limits that I am an officer of the Treasury Department, in the same sense that an attorney is an officer of the court.

It doesn't look like a logo made up by and made available for us to use; rather one that the user self prepared. Unless it's copyrighted by the author, feel free.

I saw this on a non IRS website. Are we (EA's) allowed to use this logo on our cards and website?
