PTIN/RTRP Update
Beginning next week, a paper letter will be sent to over 312,000 preparers who are required to take the RTRP exam and have yet to schedule the exam. This letter is to encourage preparers to schedule their exam as soon as possible. Over 17,000 preparers have already become RTRPs. There are over 726,000 active PTINs, which will need to be renewed for 2013. The renewal process will begin on October 15; stay tuned for more information as it is available.
So is my math correct that 42% of all tax preparers still have not taken their competency exam?
Say, can a RTRP post their certificate on this board. I would like to see what it looks like.
