Windows 7 in my new computer is VERY slow to delete large files or directories with
many files. Using Windows 2000 Professional, it would only take a matter of seconds
to delete a directory with sub-directories and files such as in Drake06. Now using Windows 7 this
procedure takes 30 minutes. I suspect that Windows 7 deletes the entire file whereas
older Windows operating systems simply deleted the heading for each file. I assume this new
procedure has certain advantages.
