Someone said you were assigned that status after the total of your accumulated postings reached 100 messages. I don't know for sure, but that sounds about right as I've been designated one and I know I've posted that many messages.

I am nearing the 100 posting mark. I am not sure at what point one becomes a senior member. However, I would suggest some more pleasing synonyms:

higher member

leading member

more advanced member

next higher member

superior member
