    Minnesota

Passed today a conformity to federal(for some things) for 2015 and 2016. They are working with tax software providers for making the changes and have said they will review 2015 filings and make changes and send out refunds - unless they are unable to make the changes then they will notify the clients that they should amend.

    ARE WE HAVING FUN YET!!!

Holy cow. I had heard that a conformity bill was in the works, but I didn't realize it was retroactive to 2015.

Good news. Will simplify the upcoming filing season. One year, they didn't get around to this until late March.

Personally, I think they should make a law that says Minnesota automatically conforms to any Federal changes unless the Minnesota Congress specifically passes a law to not conform.

That would seem to make things way easier for everybody.
