Help~ Premium Tax Credit - dependent status change to Married

I have a client who was a dependent and part of her parent's 1095-A (Health insurance marketplace statement) in 2015. She got married in July 2015 to a guy with high income and she no longer qualifies for Marketplace health insurance. She forgot to remove her from Marketplace health insurance all year and received 1095-A showing all 3 people's benefits received (she and her parents). She's willing to pay her portion of 1095-A benefits received but 1095-A is showing combined amounts. Is there a way to separate her portion out from 1095-A using form 8962 (PTC worksheet), so that she can pay back her portion? Her parents still qualifies for Marketplace insurance.

    Thanks in advance,

Although other percentage can be used, the best outcome will be to have the parents claim 100% and the daughter claim 0%.

They would both file Form 8962 with Part IV filled out (page 2) to show the parents claiming 100% and the daughter claiming 0%.

The parents should be cautioned that any Advance credits were based on a Household Size that included their daughter. Because they are not claiming the daughter as a dependent, that means that their Poverty Percentage will be higher, and they may need to repay part of the Advance credit that they received.
