    New Mexico Question

Doesn't look to me like New Mexico has a "Sales Tax." But they have a "Gross Receipts Tax" which appears to serve the same purpose.

The language in the instructions is very confusing. Is a sale of services to the US Air Force exempt from this "Gross Receipts Tax"?

Does anyone on the forum know? We probably don't have thousands of New Mexico people on the forum, but maybe we have a few...

    Thanks

In VA, a "gross receipts tax" is a tax paid to the locality on gross revenues by a business. It is also called BPOL tax here, for Business, Professional, Occupational License tax.
