    Hawaii help?

My clients live in HI, but have rental property in NC and MD.

The HI return has the rental income on page 4 and it is asking for a tax ID number.

Should I be concerned with this at all?

Line 54 should have the HI rental income = $0. Then you can ignore the HI GE license number.

If they live in Hawaii they pay taxes on this income but are not required to have a GET#...use their SSN
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.
