    W-3 W-2

I noticed again that these two forms needs to be printed on the RED paper per the instructions. My software allows to print on black and white. Can we print and submit to SS the black printed ones. I notice that the 1096 and the 1099 still have to be printed on the RED ones. Anyone know for certain?

    It depends

Some, actually many, of the software companies have gone through testing and had their black and white w-2/w-3 forms approved for submitting to the SSA. You will have to check the instruction for your software to know for sure.

      ONLY Forms 1099\1096 in Red

The SSA accepts black ink and white paper forms for Forms W-2/3. It's only the IRS that still requires the special red forms for their copies of Forms 1099/6 if paper filed to the IRS. If you e-file Forms 1099, you won't have to obtain any red forms at all.
