    Hire Act

I believe that this information was not in originally. In the FAQs About Qualified Employees from the IRS, they say:

Does work performed as a self-employed individual count in determining whether an individual has been employed for 40 hours or less during the 60-day period ending on the date the individual begins employment for purposes of qualified employee status?...No. Only work performed as an employee counts in determining whether an individual has been employed for 40 hours or less during the 60-day period.
This sounds like I may amend 941 for the second quarter (once we get W-11's) for the self-employed people that said the were working in self-employment before hired by the employer.

    Need confirmation here.

This is how I understand it. I was very surprised to read that self-employment is not a dis-qualifier. JG, please let me know if you find the updated 941X. I think it is not released yet. I will do the same.
