Life Insurance paid by S-Corp or Partnership

    Question:

Does anyone know where it is address in The Tax Book when Life Insurance:

paid by S-Corp for a 2% or more shareholder?

and when paid by the Partnership for a partner?

I believe it may be a taxable event if the beneficiary is the spouse versus if the beneficiary is the S-Corp or the Partnership??

    thanks in advance

Not deductible, add to box 1 wages (I think).

      somewhere in the TAX Book

One year I thought it was addressed somewhere in the TAX Book. That is what I am trying to find. Wondering if anyone has found it in the TAX Book?

Key question is when is the reporting of premiums paid by the S-Corp or Partnership for life insurance become taxable ?

I think it depends on who the beneficiary is? e.g., if it is the S-Corp or Partnership - no
but if it is the spouse (or other family member, etc) yes
