    PTIN log in

Ok, went to this website within the IRS website: https://rpr.irs.gov/datamart/login.do and logged in under "returning users". Under the column "Your PTIN" appeared "Tax Preparer #(my PTIN #)". Clicked on that link and it displayed my name and PTIN again with the expiration date. So does this mean I am "good to go"?

My application took a little longer than that. What is your expiration date?

      PTIN expiration date 9/30/2011

Why cant the IRS make all preparers expiration dates 12/31/2011 regardless of the date you applied or registered.
