    Katrina EIC

What is going to be the easiest way to get last year's tax return for Katrina victims that are living out of their area. My nephew did bring home his tax returns but I know that would have been my last thought. I have signed up with the electronic services with the IRS but don't know if I can get that detailed of a report from them.

    Thanks

Give the IRS electronic transcript a try. That should give you all the information you need.

      Hurricane Administrative Relief

      From H&R Block:

<The IRS has waived fees and will expedite requests for copies of tax returns (Form 4506) or requests for transcripts (Form 4506-T). Write "Hurricane Katrina" in red at the top of the form and mail it to the mailing address used for the most recent tax return.

The IRS has suspended many compliance activities throughout the affected areas. If people in the affected areas receive IRS notices or have any questions about Hurricane Katrina tax relief, they can call the IRS toll-free disaster hotline at 1-866-562-5227 for assistance.>

      God Bless You
