Disabled spouse needs care home or facility/

I would like a worksheet or checklist to help the spouse evaluate her options in caring for her husband. Home care or facility pros and cons. Any government or planner sources?

Pardon my ignorance, but are you looking for a worksheet to quantify and analyze the cost or something else? If it is something else, my suggestion would be organizations that deal with elder care. I had to go through a similar exercise for my mother and it was really researching various options available in my area. Fortutanately, my town has a good senior center that has experts to help you choose various options (Home Care, Assisted Living etc.) We chose home care.

ATSMAN reply post says it well. Also there are senior and/or medical care areas on the Internet both government (federal & state) for such information. What have you found so far?

Don't know your involvement or expertise in providing this type of critical information. But the spouse may want to consider talking to an Elder Attorney and other experts in this field since the issue maybe more involved than a worksheet. But you are in a better position to know goals of the spouse.

Don't think this is the correct web-site for such information.

If one of the options to consider is Home Care you may want to check this out:

Wondering if it's best to hire help through a caregiver agency or do it independently? Here, we break down both options.

Find out how to choose the best home care agency by gathering information about providers, evaluating their quality, and getting cost estimates.

Good luck. It will take some effort to find the right solution.
